The SatLink 6455 controls the forward link bandwidth provisioning for each of four service classes for each VSAT group and to each VSAT. Traffic is conditioned for each beam segment (up to 10), each VSAT group (up to 250), each VSAT service and each queue (up to 10,000 VSATs). Supports a single TCP connection up to 10 Mbps (unidirectional) and scales with the number of TCP connections per VSAT within the limitations of each respective service. The SatLink 6455 has 250 Mbps of total TCP/IP or layer 2 throughput and supports acceleration for 25,000 concurrent TCP connections going via remote VSATs. SatLink Communications is the technology and market leader in DVB-RCS and DVB-RCS2 satellite networks delivering superior performance for telecom service providers, ISPs, governments and enterprises around the world and also offers integration, installation, 24x7 global support and managed network services. The SatLink 6455 Network Accelerator is a member of a family of SatLink products and systems from SatLink Communications enabling scalable, high-availability VSAT networks optimized for Internet protocol (IP) and layer 2 communications, including: VSATs, turnkey hub and gateway systems, hub components and value-added options for advanced data, voice and video networking via satellite. The SatLink 6455 can handle 10 DVB-S2 forward links (beams), 10 beam segments, 250 VSAT groups and 10,000 VSATs. Achievable throughput for each TCP connection is increased and can reach 10 Mbps in one direction. The PEP concentrator supports acceleration for 25,000 concurrent TCP connections for HTTP, FTP, mail protocols and other TCP-based applications.
#Internet accelerator 2 software
The SatLink 6455, deployed at the hub site, is specialized for use in SatLink networks, working with corresponding PEP software embedded in each remote SatLink VSAT. In addition to being a performance-enhancing proxy (PEP) for standard TCP, it provides QoS, routing and traffic conditioning for ACM forward links. The SatLink 6455 is a-high-capacity accelerator and forward-link traffic conditioner for SatLink VSAT networks, at 250 Mbps throughput.
